Terms of Service

Effective Date: 8/9/2025

By booking or receiving services from Bradley-Burks Notary (“we,” “our,” or “us”), you (“client” or “customer”) agree to the following terms:

1. Scope of Services

We provide professional Notary Public, Remote Online Notary (RON), and Loan Signing Agent services in compliance with Florida law. Services may include general notarizations, loan signings, and other authorized notarial acts. We do not provide legal advice, prepare legal documents, or interpret legal content. Our other consulting services cover performing background checks for special clients regarding employment, finger printing, DNA swabbing and specimen collecting. We also serve in the capacity to get your items delivered and dropped off timely (must book delivery appointments in advance).

2. Client Responsibilities

  • The client must present valid, unexpired government-issued photo identification at the time of service.

  • Documents must be complete and ready for notarization before the appointment.

  • It is the client’s responsibility to verify the document’s legal sufficiency with an attorney, if necessary.

3. Fees & Payment

  • Fees are based on Florida’s statutory notarial rates plus allowable travel, convenience, after-hours, and technology fees. $2/signature. Traveling for signature may require an appointment and $25 transport fee.

  • Med/Courier service fees are based on a flat rate plus $0.25 per mile.

  • Payment is due in full at the time of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Background checks may be combined with finger printing service. $40/BC and $75/FP

  • We accept cash, debit/credit cards, and approved electronic payment methods.

  • We MAY NOT notarize any document in which we have the same beneficial interest in.

4. Appointment Cancellations & No-Shows

  • Cancellations must be made at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled appointment.

  • A cancellation fee or full service charge may apply for late cancellations (inside of the 2 hour window) or no-shows.

5. Refusal of Service

We reserve the right to refuse service if:

  • The client cannot provide acceptable identification.

  • The document is incomplete or contains blank spaces.

  • The client appears to be under duress, unaware of the transaction, or otherwise unable to sign knowingly and willingly.

  • The notarization would violate Florida law or professional ethics.

  • Package(s) for courier services contain illegal substances.

  • Package(s) for courier services contain leaking substances or damaged materials that could result in a faulty delivery.

  • Client refuses to remove gloves or other items that may hinder an appropriate appearance for fingerprinting process.

  • Client cannot produce a valid identification for background check.

6. Remote Online Notarization (RON) Requirements

  • Clients must have a stable internet connection, compatible device, and ability to complete ID verification. A good source of lighting on the face is necessary as well. We will not be able notarize clients in dark lighting or with intentional facial obscures (face masks, costume masks, low level lighting to prevent accurate assessments… etc).

  • All RON sessions are recorded and securely stored as required by Florida law.

7. Liability Limitation

Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific service rendered. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Duval County, Florida.

By scheduling or receiving services, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms of Service.
